The Bourne Identity trailer - Cooperative listening activity

The objective of this activity was to get 2nd Year Bachillerato students familiar with the character of Jason Bourne, created by Robert Ludlum, who will be the protagonist of their first story book this year. 

The class watched a trailer for the first Bourne movie (The Bourne Identity, 2002). They had to work in groups of 3 people (and decide who was A, B and C) and answer 4 questions each out of a total of 12. For example, student A had to answer questions 1, 4 , 7 and 10. The trailer was played only once to increase difficulty. The questions were in chronological order. 

Then, students shared their answers with their group and saw whether any of the other team members could help them with their assigned questions, or vice versa. It was a different way to introduce the book and to increase student interest in the story, and a good opportunity to practice teamwork and cooperative learning.
