1st Year Primary students have been learning about the members of the family in English. To understand their importance in our lives they have done several activities. They had fun listening to some family songs, writing a family poem, filling some worksheets and making a family photo frame. But, without any doubt, the task with better results was the photo frame.
To develop this activity, students brought one of their family photos, they stuck them onto a decorated cardboard and they placed a thread of wool to hang them. Afterwards, they introduced themselves and their families using the frame. They were talking about where the photo was taken, about what they like doing with their families and so on. Before the oral presentation, students felt a little bit nervous but later they were proud of their speeches.
